Accu’s Torx Drive Bits feature a hexalobular drive (also known as Star or 6-lobe) drive. This product is designed for use with our wide range of Torx Screws, which have the advantage of reduced slippage during fastening, commonly referred to as Cam-Out.
Torx Screws have become increasingly popular thanks to the higher torque exertion that this drive type allows during installation over more traditional drive types, such as Slotted and Phillips. This allows Torx Fasteners to be tightened more easily and securely, with the head of the screw also being less likely to strip or the screwdriver damaged if over-torqued.
Security Torx Bits
Accu can also supply a range of components with a Security Pin Torx Drive, a tamper resistant variant of the standard Star Drive which offers an increased level of security, requiring specialist Security Torx Screwdrivers or Driver Bits to fasten or remove.
