What are Knurled Knobs?

Knurled Knobs, also commonly known as Thumb Knobs or Thumb Screw Knobs, are used for clamping and securing applications. These components can be used with screws of any thread length, with their knurled edge affording the user an easy way to grip the knob for tightening and loosening.

Accu lists three different types of Knurled Knob within our standard range, with Type 1 & 2 suitable for fastening onto Hex Bolts and Hex Nuts, whilst Type 3 Knurled Knobs are compatible with Socket Cap Screws.

Knurled Knobs can easily be secured onto the compatible screw, nut or bolt with a single hammer stroke.

Knurled Knob Materials & Sizes.

Accu’s Knurled Knobs are available in Black or Orange Polyacetal (POM) and are suitable for use with thread sizes M3 to M10, with Knob Diameters ranging from 11mm to 36mm.
